This class is designed to provide an introduction to, and develop a basic skill set for, working with Arduino. Additional participants are welcome if you bring your own laptop--PLEASE CHOOSE THE "I WILL BRING MY OWN LAPTOP" REGISTRATION OPTION. All attendees must complete a Maker Agreement [http://www.themakerspot.org/documentation/download-info/maker-agreement-accident-waiver-and-release-of-liability-form/] before attending the class. Please arrive early to the class so that it can begin on time.This class is open to those 10 years of age and older. Children ages 10-13 must have a parent attend class with them. IN THIS CLASS YOU WILL LEARN: -Learn general concept of a micro-controller -Learn about Arduino as a micro-controller based development platform -Look at different flavors of Arduino that are available -Learn the Arduino IDE to talk about developing sketches and code formatting -Review resources for continuing to learn with Arduino. -Start applying the information just covered through a hands-on practice session
