[http://www.precision-camera.com/lightroom-101])Managing and editing
your images as a new photographer can be daunting. How do you import
your images? What basic editing should you do? How do you share the
results with the world?
This class will jump start your image editing pipeline using Adobe
Lightroom Classic CC. We will discuss the basics of workflow
(something every photographer needs just a little of), and then jump
into basic editing in Lightroom Classic CC including white balance,
exposure, levels, and curves.
Students should bring their laptop and will be provided a set of
images so they can “click along” with the instructor. Students are
also welcome to work on their own images.
Concepts Covered
How to import your images.
Where to store your images.
BASIC IMAGE EDITING: white balance, exposure, levels & curve.
Cropping and rotating images.
Dust and spot removal.
Exporting your images to share or print.
Already comfortable with this? Check out our Intermediate Photo
Editing: Lightroom class that covers more advanced editing such as
local adjustments, detailed color editing, and other advanced
features.
Audience
This class is perfect for anyone that loves to take photographs from
beginner to longtime photographer. Adobe Lightroom is great at helping
you organize your digital images so you can find them, share and enjoy
them. There are many advantages to Adobe Lightroom over Photoshop. If
you want to learn photo software I would suggest starting with Adobe
Lightroom.
Required Equipment
A computer with Adobe LIGHTROOM CLASSIC CC INSTALLED AND WORKING.
A note pad and pen to take notes if you would like to or a tablet or
computer for taking notes.
You may bring a laptop if you want to follow along with your own
images; however, the instructor will not be able to provide computer,
OS or application support.
Schedule and Format
This is a very hands-on class lasting 3 hours with a break around the
halfway point.
About the Instructor
Scott is a photographer based out of Cedar Park, Texas. He has a
studio in his home and runs Scott D Photography with his wife,
Jennifer. Scott fell in love with photography about 10 years ago while
working in Chicago and began the long journey of learning all he
could. His favorite subject continues to be the concept of "urban
decay" and his business focuses on family and children portraiture.
Scott loves two things about photography. First, you can never learn
it all. Second, the industry is brimming with other professionals
willing and enthusiastic about guiding you through your next
photographic adventure. Teaching has always been a passion for Scott,
and he's thrilled to continue that passion.
