Civil Service Police Applicant Test
The exam will be held on Friday evening, January 10, 2020 at 7 p.m. Please arrive early to complete the check-in process. The doors will close at 6:55 p.m. and the test begins promptly at 7 p.m. The test will be administered at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center located at 400 W Walker St., League City, Texas, 77573.
***The Physical Assessment will be the following day (January 11, 2020) at 8 a.m. Please come on that day dressed and ready to go.***
Please note the following testing site requirements below:
1. You must have your paper or electronic Eventbrite ticket and photo identification with you at the testing facility or you will not be allowed entrance into the testing site.
2. If you would like Military Credit for your 24 months or more of active Military service with an Honorable Discharge, you must bring a copy of your DD-214 with you to the testing site. (note: we will not be able to make a copy of your DD-214 the night of the exam. PLEASE bring a copy of your DD-214 with you.
The Civil Service Exam is a Nelson Denny Reading Comprehension and Vocabulary Test. You can find numerous study guides and practice tests online to increase your chances of a successful testing experience. Applicants must pass all phases of the written test with a minimum score of 70%
Upon successful completion of the Civil Service Exam, you will be given directions to the Physical Assessment location and also receive further information about the hiring process. Applicants should arrive at the Physical Assessment location dressed and ready to go.
The physical fitness test will consist of the following:
25 Push-ups, using proper form
Vertical Jump, at least 15.5 inches high
Agility Run, in 17.8 Seconds or less
300 Meter Sprint, in 71 Seconds or less
1.5 Mile Run, in 15:54 Minutes or less
We encourage all applicants to practice the above listed events prior to arrival and be sure to HYDRATE.
