To help provide a level playing field for small businesses owned and
controlled by women, the Federal Government limits competition for
certain contracts to businesses that participate in the Women-Owned
Small Business Program. The federal government's goal is to award at
least 5% of all federal contracting dollars to certified Women-Owned
Small businesses each year.This workshop is on the SBA’s Woman-Owned
Small Business Certification (WOSB) and the Economically Disadvantaged
Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) certification.
