ART MEETS POETRY hosted by the Mockingbird Poetry Society

On February 5, 2022, the Mockingbird Poetry Society will host a very special day for the public and all are welcome.   Barry Rynk, Mockingbird Poetry Society secretary, has compiled an anthology of 37 poems written during the pandemic and set the poetry to visuals through local artists from the Art Club of McKinney and from the McKinney Art House.  Combined art is exponentially more powerful.  

The Mockingbird Poetry group is holding a canned food drive as part of this special event ad so the public is encouraged to donate to this effort.  Collection bins will be located inside the Carriage House (205 W Hunt Street) during the event and canned goods will be donated to local homeless shelters and food banks.   Event begins at 1:30 PM and seats are limited.
