LEVEL 1: Musical - "The Knight at Dawn, KIDS" - Plano, TX 2025

Magic Tree House: The Knight at Dawn KIDS is an adaptation of the second of Mary Pope Osborne's award-winning fantasy adventure books from the Magic Tree House book series! The two siblings, Jack and Annie, return to visit the magic tree house. As they read a book about knights and the middle ages, Annie is intrigued by the Black Knight and the mysterious quest one must successfully complete before becoming a knight. When she wishes to visit the castle in the book, the siblings are whisked away to medieval times. They set off to learn more about the Black Knight and his quest, experiencing a grand medieval feast, escaping through secret tunnels and dancing with enchanted suits of armor, all in an effort to find their way back home. AUDITIONS: Friday, 6/27 10am-1pm Material: Full Audition Packets will be posted on your Google Classroom. Students will sing a selection from the show and should be ready to perform sides at the audition. Submit your audition form, headshot, and resume on your Google Classroom. REHEARSALS: M-F, starting 6/30; 9am-12pm (**No Rehearsal 7/4**) SET BUILD: Sunday, 7/6 1pm-4pm. (This may also be used for additional rehearsal time. All students and one parent per actor are required to attend.) PERFORMANCE DATES: Fri 7/11 @7PM, Sat 7/12 @2PM & 7PM, Sun 7/13 @3PM ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Genesis provides costumes—supplemental items & shoes from your wardrobe. Students are required to be present at all rehearsals and shows. Please do not schedule any appointments or events for your student during this rehearsal period. Please send a snack, a personal water bottle, and a pencil each day to rehearsal. Please help your student at home to memorize their lines. Tickets will be available for purchase online.
