food that will nourish your mind, body, and spirit! Guided by
Ayurvedic health counselor Charlotte Jernigan and Natural Foods Chef
Rachel Zierzow, you’ll discover what foods are most beneficial to
your body type and how to prepare a meal that is healing, easy to
digest, and absolutely delicious! The class begins with a fun quiz
about your individual body type (vata, pitta, kapha). You’ll
discover how to choose ingredients and cooking methods that will
create balance and health and minimize symptoms. Chef Rachel will demo
the main dishes, and you’ll get to participate in making fresh
chutneys and learning how to adjust for the different tastes, sweet,
sour, salty, bitter, and pungent. Meal will consist of Fortified
Basmati Rice, Spiced Moong Dal, Seasonal Vegetable Subji, and Fresh
Chutneys.
