2019 Nursing Leadership Conference

The 2019 Nursing Leadership Conference will be held on Friday, April 26, at Toyota Headquarters North America in Plano. This year’s theme is “Going Places,” as we know our team members are always on the move, whether in your day-to-day role or growing within your career. The conference allows you the opportunity to learn from other leaders on how to handle challenging situations in the work environment and why it’s sometimes important to take a pause and put yourself in the patient's shoes. Together, we can better navigate life in the fast lane. COURSE OVERVIEW This conference will provide a comprehensive look at some of the challenges nursing leaders face. WHO SHOULD ATTEND The conference is designed for nursing leaders and other healthcare professionals interested in broadening their leadership abilities. COURSE OBJECTIVES * Review strategies needed to resolve conflict in the workplace * Understanding the importance of developing a cohesive team * Discuss ways leaders can influence employees without using authority * Understanding advancements in telemedicine * Understanding the challenges of caring for patients receiving palliative care * Discuss ways to create an environment of trust when your facility is experiencing change * Understanding the transfer process as it relates to emergent and non-emergent hospital transfers REGISTRATION COST * Early registration - $85 * On-Site Conference Registration - $100 If you would like to pay by check, please contact Krislynn Henderson at krislynn.henderson@childrens.com. CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY Refund requests must be received a minimum of two weeks prior to the conference. No refunds will be made thereafter. RETURNED CHECK POLICY An administrative fee of $35 will be charged for all checks returned for insufficient funds. APPROVAL STATEMENT Children’s Health℠ (Children’s Medical Center) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association – Approver, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
