About our speakers:

MITCH ANDREWS a native of Tyler, TX, returned to East Texas more than 18 years ago.
Since coming home, he has served TJC and the Tyler Junior College Foundation for almost two decades.

During 2019, he was named Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Chief Advancement Officer for TJC. He also serves as Executive Director for the Tyler Junior College Foundation, which has surpassed $80 million in assets. The Foundation is now the largest support organization for a community college in the State of Texas.

Locally, Mitch is a member of Rotary Club of Tyler, and his volunteer work has included serving as President for the board of Leadership Tyler; Vice President of Development for Tyler Civic Theatre; and, as a board member for the East Texas Symphony Orchestra. He currently serves on the board for Champions for Children of Smith County and participates in Catalyst 100 with Leadership Tyler. During 2011. Mitch was recognized as Leadership Tyler Distinguished Alumnus.

Mitch has served as a past chair for the national conference hosted by the CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Center for Community College Advancement. He has previously served on the planning committee and as a presenter for the first CASE virtual conference, which focused on alumni relations for community colleges. He has also served as Vice President for the Texas Association of Community College Foundations (TACCF) and currently served on that board.

Mitch graduated from Tyler Junior College with an Associate in Arts, the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and University of Texas at Tyler with a Masters in Public Administration. While at Ole Miss, he received two national public speaking awards and presently serves on an advisory council for the Ole Miss speech and debate team, which is part of their leadership institute. Mitch also coaches TJC students, as part of the College’s nationally honored speech and debate program.
Ten years ago, Mitch and his wife, Joan, were given the greatest gift, their son Clayton. They feel blessed to be part of Tyler and East Texas and to raise Clayton surrounded by family and friends.

BARBARA GREENBAUER originally from Toronto, Canada, has lived in Tyler for over 25 years, serving East Texas organizations in nonprofit and higher education fundraising roles.

Barbara’s fundraising career has encompassed a variety of organizations, beginning as Marketing and Major Gifts Director at the United Way of Tyler/Smith County, followed by Development Officer for Methodist Children’s Home in Waco. She returned to Tyler as Development Director at Bishop Gorman Catholic School.

For the past five years, Barbara has worked in Institutional Advancement at Tyler Junior College, as Director of Major Gifts and Special Initiatives, fundraising for numerous multi-million dollar campaigns.

Barbara is a proud member of Leadership Tyler’s Class 19, has served on the LT Board and is a current LT Class representative. She has served on the Board and also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and is a current Board Member of Tyler Sister Cities.

Barbara and her husband Cliff have a blended family of five girls, a grand-daughter and lots of grand dogs!
