Food Drive for Children over Christmas Break

Hi! I’m Miss Pioneer Valley, Sienna Hunt, and I’m so excited to celebrate this Christmas season with you! 

This year, in partnership with the USANA Foundation, I’m collecting food donations to fill backpacks for local students to take home over the two-week holiday break. During this time, 1 in 6 children in Cache Valley face food insecurity, and these backpacks—each filled with about $25 worth of food—help ensure they have meals throughout Christmas break. 

Let’s share the spirit of the season with the kids who need it most! You can bring any of the food items listed below right here to your local library!

Items needed:  

box of cereal (standard size) 

box of instant oatmeal packets (approx. 10-12 packets) 

box of granola bars (8-10 pack) 

box of crackers (Ritz or Graham style) 

32-40 oz peanut butter jar (or 2 small jars) 

23 oz apple sauce (or 6 applesauce cups) 

15-22 oz raisins (or other dried fruit) 

boxes of mac & cheese 

can of vegetables (pop-top lid, if possible) 

canned dinner (chili, spaghetti O’s, ravioli, etc.) 

box of Hostess or Lil Debbie snack cakes (8 count)
