The 1st Golden Bridge Festival: Building Connections, Celebrating Heritage, Creating Opportunities
The 1st Golden Bridge Festival is a new and unique cultural and community event that celebrates history, heritage, innovation, and connection in Utah.
Inspired by Qixi (Chinese Valentine's Day)—a tradition with more than 2,600 years of history commemorating the legendary reunion of the Cowherd and the Weaver Goddess across a bridge of magpies—the festival honors the timeless values of family, education, dedication, hope, and reunion.
Our theme, "Love Can Build the Bridge," reflects the belief that love, understanding, and collaboration can overcome distance, differences, and challenges. Drawing inspiration from both the spirit of Qixi and the legacy of the Transcontinental Railroad, the Golden Bridge Festival symbolizes how diligence, kindness, innovation, business, and human connection can unite communities and build a brighter future.
We are excited to welcome Ocean Mart as a participating sponsor, and the Chinese Railroad Workers Descendants Association will present a special exhibit honoring the contributions of Chinese railroad workers. Additional community organizations, local businesses, cultural groups, and vendors continue to join us, making this festival an exciting gathering for the entire community.
Whether you are a business, nonprofit organization, artisan, food vendor, performer, exhibitor, sponsor, volunteer, visitor, or community member, we warmly invite you to participate.
If you are unable to attend, we would greatly appreciate your support by sharing this event with your family, friends, colleagues, and community. Together, we can build bridges that connect cultures, strengthen communities, and inspire future generations.
