Caring Connections: A Hope and Comfort in Grief Program will hold its annual Grief and the Holidays event on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 7:00-9:00 p.m., at the University of Utah College of Social Work (395 South 1500 East Salt Lake City, UT 84112). Free parking will be provided near the building. The event will also be livestreamed online via Zoom.

Grief and the Holidays is an opportunity for individuals to come together and cope with the loss of a family member or friend while keeping the memory of the person alive during the difficult holiday season. This year’s theme, “Grief in Motion: Finding Our Way,” explores the ways grief changes over time and how we can move through loss while carrying the memory of the person who died.

Our featured speaker and musical guest is Dominic Moore, MD, Senior Medical Director for Home Services, Associate Chief Medical Officer for Clinical Shared Services, and Physician Lead for Ethics at Intermountain Health. Dr. Moore has released 10 albums with the local group The Lower Lights, as well as six albums of original songwriting. Through conversation and music, he will invite us to consider how we might carry our losses with us while continuing to find meaning and connection in our lives.

Grief and the Holidays is free and open to the public. For more information, call 801-585-9522 or email caringconnections@utah.edu. You may also RSVP at: https://utahnursing.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_broAZhVhgRjbk2y
