MTB Experience is going to MOAB! We are still not quite ready to hold
an event in MOAB with COVID concerns. However we ARE ready to do some
riding!Jeni and Paige from MTB Experience will be out riding Navajo
Rocks on Sunday April 25th! We would love to have you join us! This is
a non-coached, free ride. It is a meet-up only. While we wont be doing
any coaching, it will be a fun time to get together and do a socially
distanced ride.
The full loop is about 19.5 miles long with 1700ft of climbing. Expect
the entire ride to take around 4 hours. With 2 hours given to the
Ramblin loop and 2 hours to the Big Mesa loop. (There will be options
to cut this ride in half.)
We will meet at the Navajo Rocks Main Parking lot.
Our loop will be broken into two sections. Join us for the first loop,
the second or both!
Loop 1, will begin with Ramblin, Rocky Top and Middle Earth.
As we cross back to the main parking lot we will hit the second loop
of our ride.
For loop 2, we will ride Big Mesa and Big Lonely to Coney Island.
Finally we will cross over Middle Earth again to finish.
Ramblin and Rocky Top are the most difficult portions of trail with
Blue/Black trail ratings. This trail is for strong intermediates
riders.
The Big Mesa loop is easier with a blue trail rating. This portion of
trail will require intermediate skill level. Very fit, advanced
beginner riders will also enjoy this loop.
When we cross Middle earth after Rocky Top we will take a break in the
main parking lot. This will be a great time to grab extra water, a
snack or even decide that a short loop is all you want to ride. This
is also a great time to join in if you dont feel that Ramblin and
Rocky Top are your cup of tea.
Attached is the route and description on MTB project. NOTE: we will be
riding a slightly different route than the one given on this website.
