COLONEL ANGELA MICHEAL
Angela has over 26 years of combined program management and logistics
experience as a military officer, contractor and federal civilian with
various USAF weapon systems including the cargo aircraft, fighter
aircraft, missiles, radars; command, control, communications,
computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance programs
(C4ISR), and now nuclear weapons. She was commissioned as an officer
in the Air Force through the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)
program at Auburn University, AL, in 1994. She subsequently served as
an active duty Air Force officer for four years and has been in the
Air Force Reserve since 1998. She worked in the private sector for
nine years before becoming an Air Force federal civilian in 2007.
As a federal civilian, her pay grade is an NH-04. She is the Deputy
Director for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Systems
Directorate at Hill AFB, UT. Angela advises the Director in managing
all aspects of the directorates 600+ member organization responsible
for developing and procuring the next Intercontinental Ballistic
Missile (ICBM) to modernize the land-based portion of the nuclear
triad. The GBSD program is an $83 billion dollar megaproject replacing
the Minute Man III and all of its infrastructure.
She has continued her military career as an Air Force reservist
through present time and her current rank is Colonel. She is currently
serving as the Deputy Assistant to the Director for Information
Dominance Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force
for Acquisition, Pentagon, Washington D.C. In this position, she
supports the Director responsible for all acquisition and
modernization activities for seventy-seven Air Force C4ISR programs
valued at over $45 billion dollars.
She has been married for 25+ years to Jeff and they have two
daughters: Rachel (age 19) and Anna (age 17).
