Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation, along with the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation, cast members from “The Sandlot”, Salt Lake County representatives, and community members are hosting a celebration at the newly constructed Larry H. Miller Softball Complex at Valley Regional Park.
In honor of the late Larry Miller, an avid player of fast-pitch softball, a cast member of “The Sandlot” will throw the first pitch of a youth fast-pitch exhibition game to commemorate the day. Attendees will receive a voucher for 2 free tickets to a Salt Lake Bees game to be used during the current season. There will be free hot dogs and schwag while it lasts. Followed by youth clinics coached by softball players from Salt Lake Community College, Weber State and the University of Utah.
