Frog Hollow Craft Gallery is pleased to announce "CHAMP: The Art of
BELIEVING," an EXHIBITION EXPLORING THE ENDURING POWER OF MYTH,
legend, and belief through artistic interpretation of the Lake
CHAMPLAIN LEGEND. The EXHIBITION, curated by Peyton Applegate, will be
on view from April 4th through April 30th at Frog Hollow Craft
Gallery, located at 85 Church St., BURLINGTON, Vermont. A closing
reception for the EXHIBITION WILL BE HELD ON APRIL 26TH, 3-6pm.
Lake Champlain, a vast and mysterious body of water, has long been the
subject of folklore and legend, most notably the tale of Champ, a
creature said to inhabit its depths. "Champ: The Art of Believing"
invites artists to delve into the multifaceted nature of belief, using
Champ as a springboard for creative expression.
The exhibition features the work of 30+ artists and a diverse range of
visual art and craft mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture,
photography, mixed media, ceramics, fiber art, and digital art.
Participating artists explore themes that delve into the mystery of
the lake, interpretations of Lake Champlain's beauty, depths, and
evocative sense of mystery.
