The AHI PPS is sponsoring a SERIES OF CUSTOMIZED TRAINING MODULES,
beginning in January 2017, focused on CULTURAL COMPETENCY, HEALTH
LITERACY, and addressing regional HEALTH DISPARITIES.
This first module in the training series is: Cultural Competency
within the AHI PPS.
Trainers and presenters will facilitate discussion around cultural
dynamics and needs within the AHI PPS' nine-county service area. They
will introduce the Enhanced National CLAS (Culturally and
Linguistically Appropriate Services) Standards, explore their
relevance to regional health system transformation and interventions
to empower individuals living in generational poverty.
TWO TRAININGS IN TWO LOCATIONS ARE BEING OFFERED. These are 1-day
trainings with a limit of 25 participants per day. In person
attendance is required. There will be no option for teleconference.
