On Friday, April 11, come celebrate the arrival of spring (hopefully!) at the Cabot Community Contra Dance, featuring the calling of Lausanne Allen. The dance takes place in the Cabot Town Hall, 3084 Main St, from 7-9:30pm. Live music is provided by a group of local musicians--it’s fine to just come and listen!
All ages and abilities are welcome, and we all dance with each other. Genderless terminology is used and all dances are taught, but new dancers are encouraged to arrive right at 7:00, as Lausanne will start with the simplest dances, and then build on what you learn throughout the evening.
Admission is on a sliding scale, $5-10 suggested, but nobody is turned away for lack of funds! Masks are welcomed but not required, and everyone is asked to bring clean, dry shoes to change into to keep mud off the dance floor.
