Like to eat? Like to ride?
Join us for our scenic, pedaling picnic through the Connecticut River
Valley. Bring your bike to enjoy the autumn foliage and beautiful
scenery at your own pace. Along the way you will meet local food
producers and community members at food stops as you taste the
delicious harvest bounty from local farms and restaurants.
Choose one of our three routes: the family-friendly Lake Morey Loop (6
miles), the Classic Loop (19.5 miles), or the River Road Extension
designed for advanced riders (31 miles). Please see below for a
synopsis of the three routes (when registering you will be required to
identify which route you will be riding).
Your registration includes detailed route maps, directions, support
vehicles, and, of course, an incredible menu of locally-produced
foods!
Choose from three great rides-
Lake Morey Loop
Our Lake Morey Loop is great for families with young cyclists, new
cyclists, or for those who want a very leisurely bike ride around the
lake - 6 miles. Easy. 2 short hills. Minimal auto traffic. Enjoy
several stops along the way, so you can take your time, rest, and
relax. Includes delicious food provided by local producers. And, be
sure to save room for dessert back at the school!
Classic Loop
Our most popular route has had to be re-envisioned this year due to
the closure of the East Thetford bridge but we have beautiful food
stops and a scenic ride planned for 2024! Travel the scenic
Connecticut River Valley on this 19.5 -mile loop as participants ride
over the bridge in Fairlee and down into Lyme. Visit scenic stops in
Lyme, Orford, and Fairlee while you enjoy plenty of delicious food
that showcases many local producers.
ROUTE MAY CHANGE DUE TO CONSTRUCTION. We will notify attendees if any
changes are made.
River Road Extension
An extension of our very popular Classic Loop, this 31-mile ride is
designed for advanced riders who want a bit more mileage. Moderate,
with a few more hills than our Classic, but with an additional stop to
refresh yourself while you admire a spectacular, long view of the
river.
