Festival for Creative Pianists is coming to Montpelier, August 6th - 10th this year! Our mission is to help pianists of all ages and levels celebrate and discover the depths of their creativity. We strive to bring joy into the practice of music-making at the piano. We are pleased to offer both half and full scholarships, available to any pianist.
Events, activities, and workshops will be held at Monteverdi Music School, the Montpelier Performing Arts Hub, and the Unitarian Church of Montpelier.
This unique learning experience will take place from August 6th to 10th, and will feature masterclass style performance adjudications, workshops and intensives, concerts and recitals. The final day includes a Best Of Recital featuring festival participants, and a headline concert with our Pianist in Residence, Daniel Inamorato.
This opportunity is appropriate for ages 10-100, but younger pianists are welcome at the recommendation of a private teacher. We also highly encourage adult learners and piano teachers to participate. There are two tracks: performance only and performance + composition. All participants prepare 10-15 minutes of repertoire to perform for a panel of world-class teaching artists, focusing their individualized feedback on creativity and musicality.
We hope this will become an annual celebration in Montpelier, so please also donate to show your support. Contact me today to get involved and learn more today at
