Paul Winter: This Glorious Earth

Grammy Award-winning composer and saxophonist Paul WINTER BRINGS THIS GLORIOUS EARTH TO CHANDLER. Joined by pianist Henrique Eisenmann, Winter will blend soprano saxophone and piano with the voices of whales, wolves, wood thrushes, and other members of what he calls “the greater symphony of the Earth.” Eisenmann brings a background in Brazilian music, European classical traditions, and jazz to their musical partnership. He has spent the past five years touring internationally with the Paul Winter Consort and performing in a duo with Winter. The concert is presented alongside Marjorie Ryerson’s Water Music exhibition in Chandler Gallery, connecting music, the natural world, and a shared commitment to celebrating and preserving Earth and its beauty. Winter wrote the introduction to Ryerson’s book, describing her work as something that “opens our eyes again to water’s miraculous beauty and life-giving power.”
