This exhibit follows Sislen's 15-year photographic journey in and around "ground zero," beginning before 9/11 and continuing today. We see destruction, mourning and remembrance. We see an area slowly transformed as the remains of the World Trade Center, its victims and structures were painstakingly removed. We see the new World Trade Center complex and nearby memorials slowly emerge where so much devastation had occurred. What we see there today reflects the renewed vibrancy and hope for New York City and beyond. As we commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11, Sislen hopes these photographs will help us to Never Forget the morning of 9/11/01 that affected so many, and the sorrow, hope and transformation that followed.
