CPR/AED & Basic First Aid Course (Week Day Courses)

Come out and learn a life-saving skill from some of the best instructors in the area. SCS SAFETY HEALTH & SECURITY ASSOCIATES in conjunction with BLUE RIDGE SPEECH AND HEARING are  providing CPR First Aid classes.   _THESE CLASSES ARE BLENDED LEARNING CLASSES_.  Blended Learning is designed to cut down on the time spent in the classroom, and is designed to provide more hands on learning time.  There are two parts to this course.  Part one is the online class, and Part two is the scheduled hands-on skills practical and testing.   This COURSE IS FULLY  compliant with OSHA, VA Dept. of Education, VA Dept of Social Services requirements.  The course will cover CPR procedures for the Adult, Child and Infant, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), along with Basic First Aid procedures like controlling bleeding, shock, amputation, burns, sudden illness, stroke diabetic emergencies, choking and much more.  _This class is structured for people in the workplace and community ~ Teachers, child care workers, general industry, construction industry, parents, school bus drivers, emergency response teams in a work setting ~ just to name a few.  THIS COURSE IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE IN THE MEDICAL OR DENTAL INDUSTRY, FIRST RESPONDERS, FIRE FIGHTERS, EMS WORKERS.  _ HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS - If you work in the medical or dental industrty, First Responders, EMS Workers, or Fire Fighters and alike,  we do offer American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers version of CPR/AED.  Be sure to determine that ASHI version is an acceptable provider for your employer.  Once you have begun the course, there are no refunds.  ASHI's Basic Life Support, BLS for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). CANCELLATION POLICY:    We understand there maybe a need to reschedule or drop out from the class. Because part of the COURSE IS ONLINE, a link will be purchased and SENT TO YOU WITHIN 24-HOURS OF US RECEIVING YOUR REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT. Once the link has been sent, it cannot be "returned". We recommend you reschedule your class date. If you cancel for any reason, WITHIN 72 HOURS (3 DAYS) of the scheduled class, there will be NO REFUND GIVEN. If you cancel PRIOR TO 72-HOURS (3 DAYS) OF THE SCHEDULED CLASS, A CANCELLATION FEE OF $30 IS RETAINED PRIOR TO ANY REFUNDS. We prefer to reschedule you to the next available course date. If the day of class, the online portion of the class is started but not completed, OR not started at all, and you requested to change to another class date, there will be a $30 service charge.   PLEASE NOTE: The class must have enough participants (minimum of 5) in order to proceed. If there are not enough participants for a particular class, students will be seated for the next available class.   FAQS   IS MY REGISTRATION/TICKET TRANSFERRABLE? Registrations / tickets are not transferrable to other people.     CAN I UPDATE MY REGISTRATION INFORMATION? Yes.  The information you provide during registration is used on the certification card, upon completion and passing the course.   DO I HAVE TO BRING MY PRINTED TICKET TO THE EVENT?
