PARENTS, join US to learn ways to understand the process involved with SPECIAL EDUCATION. You'll hear from two of our attorneys on their experiences. Our goal is to empower each individual accessing this resource to become a more competent advocate. Co-hosted with Nelson Advocacy. Central Rappahannock Regional Library 1201 Caroline St Fredericksburg, VA 22401 The training is divided into 6 main topic areas with guided questions aimed to provide assistance. • How to Tell your Child's Story • Eligibility • Evaluations • IEP (Individualized EDUCATION PROGRAMS) • Discipline • Dispute Resolution With your paid registration, you will receive a copy of the “Pathways Through SPECIAL EDUCATION IN VIRGINIA” manual. Within the manual, you will find sample evaluation letters, requests for IEE or IEP, tell your story worksheet, and more. Tickets are only $20. Lunch provided.
