Del Ray Artisans invites young campers ages 8-12 years old for “Brushes & Beyond” Art Camp 2025 to spend a week creating art with professional local artist instruction. Students will have an immersive creative journey: painting, sculpting, journaling and other artful planned activities. During nice weather, students will have outdoor time.
Art Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm. Choose between Week One (July 14-18) and Week Two (July 21-25). All artist supplies are provided. Students must bring their own lunch. Class size is limited to 15 children per week, and costs $350 per child. Scholarship support is available. Walk-ins are not allowed. You must register in advance at delrayartisans.org/art-camp-2025
There will also be a special, one-day only, gallery show on the Saturday following camp (July 19 for week one campers and July 26 for week two campers) to show off students’ work. The reception is from 1-3pm and is a great chance for campers, family, and friends to talk to the camp coordinators and other students about their experience.
Art Camp and the gallery show will be at Del Ray Artisans gallery in the Nicholas A. Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22301. The facility is accessible. Del Ray Artisans’ Youth Art Programs are made possible with support from the City of Alexandria and through a generous donation from Genesis Inspiration Foundation.
