The Association of Change Management Professionals DC Chapter will be hosting a panel of Government executives on January 12, 2017 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am to discuss effective strategies and experience for driving new Presidential initiatives associated with political transitions in Government. We believe this will be a particularly timely session given there will be a new Administration beginning on January 20, 2017. The speakers will discuss lessons learned and typical challenges encountered when introducing cross-cutting change in the public sector, and touch on strategies and tactics to motivate and drive desired behavior around changes to new policies, procedures, processes and systems. The panel currently includes Dr. Lauren Thompson, the Director of the Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Interagency Program Office (DoD/VA IPO), Trent Frazier, Executive Director for Academic Engagement at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Shirley Miller, Former Chief of Staff of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Air Traffic Organization (ATO). The event will take place at 3110 Fairview Park Drive, Suite 1100, Falls Church, VA, 22042 on January 12, 2017, from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, and will be hosted by Evans Incorporated, which is a consultancy specializing in assisting clients to successfully navigate complex transformative change. The panel will be moderated by Jim Wright, a Director with Evans Incorporated, and the participants in this event will include a blend of seasoned change practitioners including representatives from Government, academia, non-profits and the private sector.
