5TH ANNUAL TOUR _DE_ MOUNT VERNON. #TDMV2020 NOTICE: AS OF SEPT 28TH, THE 5TH TOUR DE MOUNT VERNON HAS SOLD OUT. REGISTRATION WAS CAPPED AT 250 RIDERS PER COVID 19 GUIDELINES OUTLINED BY THE GOVERNOR OF VIRGINIA. Join MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT SUPERVISOR DAN STORCK FOR A COMMUNITY BIKE RIDE ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 3RD, 2020, at 8:30 am- starting and ending at the Workhouse Arts Center. The 5th Annual Tour de Mount Vernon is dedicated to our friend and inspiration, Dave Evans. The final turn-by-turn route is still being confirmed, but we promise there will be some great places to visit and take Instagram photos. The Tour de Mount Vernon brings cyclists on a fun ride through the south western portion of the Mount Vernon District and on a scenic route through Fort Belvoir. The route will consist of paved roads, a few parts on paved trails and will have several challenging sections. Ride monitors and Fairfax County Police will be on hand to help with directions and keep everyone safe. COVID-19 INFORMATION: The ride will be adhering to Governor Northams Phase III recommendations for social gatherings. Masks MUST be worn at all times while at the Workhouse Arts Center. All riders, staff, volunteers, and attendees must remain six feet apart while at the Workhouse Arts Center. Maximum of riders is 250, per the Governors Phase III guidance. VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers are needed the day before and day of the ride!   NEED SIGNUP LINK NOTE: If you plan to volunteer you do not need to complete a registration via Eventbrite. POLICIES: * NO REFUNDS due to event cancellation or if the purchaser cannot attend the event. Event is rain or shine. * NO TRANSFERS of registration to other riders * Children 15 and older welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Experienced riders only, please. * Helmets are required for the ride, no exceptions * You'll be required to sign a liability waiver on the day of the ride.
