Join PEC and the Catoctin Creek Fund Advisory Committed for an
afternoon in which we'll discuss challenges, successes, and
opportunities in land use and CONSERVATION IN LOUDOUN COUNTY. Hear
from PEC President Chris Miller as well as members of the Catoctin
Creek Fund Advisory Committee, who will talk about the connection of
CONSERVATION AND AGRICULTURE, and about a source of funding that helps
landowners protect their properties with a CONSERVATION EASEMENT.
Afterwards, celebrate rural LOUDOUN WITH BLUEGRASS MUSIC BY Furnace
Mountain, light fare from Mom's Apple Pie, and local beer and wine.

CREEK is a designated Virginia Scenic River thanks to its outstanding
scenic, recreational, historic, & natural characteristics. Its
watershed consists of 59,175 acres. Only 9,590 of those acres are
protected (16%). There is much work to be done in Virginia’s fastest
growing county. In 2017, the Catoctin Creek CONSERVATION FUND WAS
CREATED AS AN ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR PEC TO FURTHER CONSERVATION
