Final Fantasy (Magic: the Gathering) Prerelease Event

The Entire FINAL FANTASY SAGA IS HERE!The beloved FINAL FANTASY RPG series’ sixteen mainline games of unforgettable characters, items, and moments are now here in Magic: The Gathering! Cast powerful spells, call upon classic summons, and even visit your favorite locations on the back of a chocobo. Countless elements from the games are here for you to weave together your own story! YOUR SEAT IS NOT GUARANTEED UNLESS YOU RSVP! This will be the most in-demand set since we open six years ago and we expect to fill up. If you RSVP and can no longer make, you must let us know ASAP so that we can notify people on the waitlist. Special sign-up instructions: Due to high demand, you are restricted to ONE registration until Sunday, May 19 at 11:59pm. After this time, you may sign up for one additional tournament which will cost +$5. Everyone who participates in more than one tournament will receive an exclusive Velvet Dice Pouch. As we approach prerelease weekend, if you want to play more than two tournaments, you may sign up for your third tournament within 24 hours of the tournament if there is space. Please understand that we requested the maximum prerelease kits we were allocated, and we hope that everyone who wants to play can attend at least one tournament. Note that we will be hosting a Wednesday prelrelease as well, which is limited to 8 players. Format: Each player receives a Final Fantasy prerelease kit, which contains 6 play booster* packs, a foil rare/mythic promo card, and a spindown die. Players will build a minimum 40-card deck with the contents of their prerelease kits and basic lands provided by Just Games. Your deck composition may be changed between games and matches and does not need to be “reset” to its original list at the start of each match. *Set and Draft Boosters are being combined into a new type of product called the Play Booster. Taking the play of Draft Boosters and the fun opening experience of Set Boosters, Play Boosters are both a rewarding opening experience and playable in Limited formats. Tournaments are run using the Magic Companion App. If possible, please download this app to your smartphone or tablet prior to the event and create an account (or use your Arena account if you have one). You can still participate without the app. Magic: the Gathering is intended for ages 13+ due to complexity, but if you are younger, know the rules well, and would like to participate, please arrive 30 minutes early so the shopkeepers can assess your readiness for the tournament. This only needs to be done once, so if you’ve played here before, please disregard. Prerelease events are especially great opportunities for new players to try out their skills in a friendly, casual environment. Event Policies: Advanced registration is highly encouraged to attend this event as each tournament is limited by available seating (28 on Friday, 20 on Saturday, 20 on Sunday, 8 on Wednesday). Please arrive at least 10 minutes early because the tournament will begin promptly at the listed start time and we like to go over set specific mechanics beforehand. Prize Support: Booster pack per match win or one pack for zero wins. Every participant will also receive one “Crystal Counter” D10 spindown die.
