Each year, the Eta Lambda chapter of the Alpha Phi at George Mason
University hosts a Red Dress Gala where over $20,000 is raised to give
back to the Alpha Phi Foundation in support of women's heart health.
Each year the Alpha Phi Foundation gives grants to advance research in
the development of women's heart health while also giving scholarships
and grants to sisters across the country. This is a philanthropic
cause we hold near and dear to our hearts. As young healthy college
women, the Alpha Phi foundation has helped us realize the importance
of women’s heart health, as it is the number one killer of women.
Over the year, we hold several philanthropy events, but Red Dress Gala
is our biggest event. We invite our families, friends, professors and
the community to attend this event while also donating to the Alpha
Phi foundation. Red Dress Gala is a night where we celebrate and bring
awareness to women’s heart health while also including dinner, a
silent auction, live performers, key note speakers, and much more! We,
the Eta Lambda chapter of the Alpha Phi at George Mason University,
are hosting our Red Dress Gala February 29th, 2020 from 6pm-9pm. This
year, it is our hope to raise $23,000 to give back to the Alpha Phi
foundation. With your help, we believe this goal is possible!
