Penny University events are free for the community. Caffe Amouri seeks to proudly continue the tradition started in London in the 1700's, where, for a penny, one could sit, drink coffee, and partake in discussion and debate.

Caffe Amouri has been voted 2019 “Best Coffeehouse” by Washingtonian Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Virginia Living Magazine. The Caffe Amouri Experience (Caffe Amouri’s coffee lab and education center) is one of the few Premier Coffee Labs in the country, offering a range of affordable consumer and professional classes. Other ongoing community-centered programs include a weekly open mic, Penny University talks, and free coffee tastings.
