SAPPHIC SOUNDS/PRIDE

Sapphic Sounds is a Pride celebration of love, identity, and community for women who love women — including lesbians, bisexual women, trans women, pansexual women, queer women, and nonbinary sapphics. The term “sapphic” comes from the ancient Greek poet Sappho, whose words about love between women continue to inspire LGBTQ+ culture today.

In Hampton Roads, sapphic-centered spaces are few and far between — but the need is loud and clear. That’s why LGBT Life Center is proud to host events that uplift and celebrate this powerful, passionate community.

? This year, we’re turning up the volume with a Sapphic Battle of the Bands — a queer music showdown that’s loud, proud, and bursting with talent. Expect good vibes, bold sounds, exclusive merch, and a space where sapphic joy takes center stage.
