URBAN SUSTAINABILITY AND EQUITY CENTER (USEC) invites members of the
RICHMOND COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS ROUNDTABLE EVENT AND LEARN
ABOUT OUR RECENT RESEARCH FINDINGS RELATED TO LOCAL HEAT ISLAND
PATTERNS IN THE CITY OF RICHMOND.Over the past several months, our
organization has developed a dynamic spatial analysis of urban heat
island effect within the Richmond metropolitan region. At this event,
we will be sharing our preliminary research findings, as well as our
recommendations for local mitigation strategies.
Research presentation will be followed by a panel on environmental
equity co-moderated with Giles Harnsberger of Groundwork RVA.
