Jump START CAN HELP PUT YOU AT EASE! Likewise, if you are not sure you
want to take a full 8-week class, the Jump START CAN HELP YOU DECIDE
IF CLAY IS FOR YOU. Our goal is to help you get comfortable with clay
and with the equipment so that you will feel like a pro once you START
A CLASS. This is a one-on-one/small group session (or sign up with
friends) to help you get acquainted with where things are and how they

are, and what they are used for How the slab roller works How to
operate a wheel Procedures for clay disposal and clean up All the
jargon and basics about clay: bisque fire, glaze, high-fire,
underglaze, mender, etc. And time to PLAY with some clay! We will
provide you with clay. Pieces you make during jump start can be
completed and fired when you sign up for a follow-on class. Supplies
Student Needs to Bring: Hand towel Wear non-loose clothing that can
