Change Your Words, Change Your Life – Leslie Hall, CAP, MEP, OM
Words have power. They can lift you up or drag you down. They can make you look self-assured or unsure. Think about all the words you use each day; how you speak to others, how your words are received, and how words spoken stay with us long after the conversation. Have you ever wanted to take back something you said? Do you replay in your mind how you COULD have said something? We’ll look at a variety of word choices and how they make us feel and how we are perceived. This is not just about positive thinking and speaking. Learning to change the words we speak to others—and to ourselves—can change our lives. Word choice applies to email as well!
Leslie has worked as an administrative professional for over 25 years with roles at businesses of all sizes and types. She leads a dual life. By day, she works at Amazon supporting a VP. By night, she pursues her passion-writing. She is a well-received writing instructor at North Seattle College. Leslie also is a master event planner with a diverse event planning background and also a relationship builder—known in the admin community as “The Vendor Whisperer.” She is passionate about administrative work, and sharing her love of writing and words with others.
