WELCOME TO SOUTH PUGET SOUND COMMUNITY COLLEGE NEW STUDENT ADVISING
AND REGISTRATION
New Student Advising Registration (NSAR) is a mandatory information
session designed to help students register for courses and establish a
connection with advisors on campus. As a new or returning student you
will be given instructions and support to register for your first
quarter classes from our skilled advising staff. During this session
you will also be able to ask the advising staff any questions you may
have, documents for placement evaluated, and receive more information
about the network of resources provided to students on our campus.
►TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR REGISTRATION EXPERIENCE PLEASE REVIEW THE
FOLLOWING PRIOR TO SIGNING UP FOR A SESSION:
● Students must have applied to the college for the upcoming
quarter, activated their student email and either taken placement test
or have transcripts in hand at the session for placement evaluation.
● The NSAR process lasts about two hours - please make arrangements
to available the entire session.
● Sessions start ON TIME. There is no late entry allowed. Please
make sure you give yourself adequate time to get to CAMPUS, find
parking and get to Building 1. Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to the
scheduled start time.
● Children, partners, parents, funding agents, etc.
are NOT allowed in lab. Please make sure you have made alternative
childcare arrangements. Those who are here to support you in your
registration process are welcome to have a seat in our lobby while you
are in lab. You will have an opportunity to consult with these
individuals when you are in active registration (this is during the
second hour of lab).
