Intentionally intimate, APACHE ROADSHOWS OFFER UNPARALLELED
EDUCATIONAL, networking, and collaboration opportunities. While core
technologies explored at APACHE ROADSHOW EVENTS ARE FROM THE APACHE
SOFTWARE FOUNDATION, our content is not limited to only APACHE
PROJECTS. The goal for ROADSHOWS IS TO UNDERSTAND HOW THOSE CORE
APACHE PROJECTS ARE BEING INCORPORATED INTO LARGER SOLUTIONS IN
PRODUCTION. The Seattle APACHE ROADSHOW IS A PLACE TO DISCOVER THE
LATEST INNOVATIONS IN DATA AND ANALYTICS, ML and AI, Java and the JVM,
Cloud, Containers, Servers, and Web Frameworks in a collaborative,
vendor-neutral environment. An Apache Roadshow is a regional event that
is smaller than the annual worldwide ApacheCon events held by The
Apache Software Foundation (ASF). Roadshow events focus on building
local communities around key technologies. Since Apache is a vendor
neutral foundation, Roadshows offer an opportunity to look for
collaborative opportunities in shared open source components, even
with those who we normally view as competitors.
The event consists of one day of unconference, one day of scheduled
sessions, and a third day of networking, unconference and hackathons.
This third day will be what you, the attendees, make it - be ready to
find your next hire / employer, demo why we should care about your
company, engage us in the next open source project that will take over
our hearts and minds, or tell us about what you learned about the
digital divide last time you were on vacation. Unconferences are
unpredictable, but always fruitful.
Speakers at the Seattle Apache Roadshow are hand-picked to provide a
strong cross-section of the industry. We aim to bring some of the key
thought leaders in the space to meet and directly engage with local
Seattle and Pacific Northwestern influencers. The focus of the
Roadshow events is to grow the number of connections between people
and projects so that our open source communities grow stronger.
