Welcome to the BELLEVUE chapter of: Live with Awareness, Courage, and Love (ACL)!We are currently meeting online only - here s the link: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/964148642 [https://us04web.zoom.us/j/964148642] Password: awakelove If you want to connect more authentically with yourself and with others, and to create a more meaningful and passionate life, this meetup based on the Awareness, Courage and Love (ACL) model developed and researched at the University of Washington is for you. Led by an experienced member of this group, we will practice: Open-hearted presence; self-expression; deep listening, acceptance and compassion; self-care; embracing vulnerability; giving and receiving support; and living more boldly. After each meeting, you will leave with exercises and tools that you can try with 2-3 people or more (family, friends, co-workers, intimate partners) to deepen your relationships and to move towards what you value most in life. This is not intended to be a treatment or a therapy group to resolve psychological/psychiatric problems. Bring someone you d like to get closer to or just be open to connecting with new people :). Each meeting will have a different theme with exercises prepared by Mavis Tsai and the ACL leadership team. This is one of the reasons that I have been drawn to support this group - it has professional individuals highly qualified to guide the effort. Mavis works at the University of Washington as CSSC Associate Director, Clinical Scientist & Private PRACTICE https://depts.washington.edu/uwcssc/content/mavis-tsai-phd [https://depts.washington.edu/uwcssc/content/mavis-tsai-phd] Here is a link to Mavis Tedx presentation on Youtube - which I found very motivational. https://www.youtube.com/watchv=B9kg1UdzDvw [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9kg1UdzDvw] Suggested donation $10, but please give whatever you can (this is for the Meetup fees). What to bring Most important - bring an open heart and mind. Perhaps a notepad and pen/pencil. Important to know Park in the building garage. Once parked, walk back toward the entrance you just drove through. On the left there are some double doors - they are grey and labeled "building entrance". Open them, go in. You should now be in the front of the building in an entry area with a glass wall where you can see the parking lot outside. Use the elevator to your left or walk up the stairs also at your left. Go up to the first floor (floor 1). ELEVATOR If you take the elevator, the door will open and on your right will be glass doors to enter the main center area. STAIRS Go up the stairs with the street being on your right. At the top, make a u-turn. Continue forward until you see the glass doors and elevator. Go in the double doors to room 1 (inside about 50ft on the right). If you can t find it, please call me --[masked].
