Seattle neighborhoods are the product of trying to find the best
balance between economic, social, and environmental outcomes – but
is there a way to get to more equitable benefits to everyone who lives
in a particular place? The outdoor workshop and installation uses the
ten axioms that are part of the Principles of Intelligent Urbanism —
including environmental sustainability, heritage conservation,
appropriate technology, infrastructure-efficiency, placemaking, social
access, transit-oriented development, regional integration, human
scale, and institutional integrity — to demonstrate how Seattle can
create healthy and sustainable communities.
