Mindfulness MEDITATION CLASSES AT SCCA Please join us for an
introduction to mindfulness meditation. Learn about the benefits, and
various practices that are steeped in self-compassion, acceptance, and
balance that can help you cope with cancer and treatment.
Mediation CLASSES WILL BE FACILITATED BY JULIANA PEREZ, MSW. Julianna
is a Spiritual Health Clinician at SCCA and has been practicing
mindfulness mediation for almost 30 years, and teaching MEDITATION
CLASSES FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. _All classes will take place in the
South Lake Union SCCA Clinic, 1st Floor Conference Room 1008_
1/22 - SESSION ONE: BREATH AWARENESS: 10:30 am - 12 pm
2/19 - SESSION TWO: BODY AWARENESS: 11 am - 12:30 pm
3/18 - SESSION THREE: MINDFUL MOVEMENT: 1 - 2:30 pm
4/8 - SESSION FOUR: LIVING MINDFULLY IN THE WORLD: 12 - 1:30 pm
The series is offered at no charge to patients receiving treatment at
SCCA and to their caregivers. No special clothing is required,
comfortable clothing is advised as meditation practices will be done
in chairs.
