Krazy Glue Messaging: Making Your Evaluation Findings Sticky

The EVALUATION PROFESSION (and others) have wholeheartedly embraced newer and more innovative forms of reporting over the years such as infographics, two-page reports, slidedocs, and story maps. However, these briefer forms of communication require US to condense our extensive FINDINGS INTO MUCH SHORTER CONTENT. Evaluators and other professionals also need to identify and make their key messages “STICKY” in order to reduce the noise and ensure that busy decision-makers are able to understand, recall, and act on our key FINDINGS WHEN THE TIME COMES. Join Kylie Hutchinson for a fun and interactive keynote looking at what makes a message “STICKY” and leave feeling inspired to try something new.The training also includes a hands-on workshop with Kylie where participants will have the opportunity to practice on one of their own reports (or a case study provided). KEYNOTE: 9:00 – 10:00 AM WORKSHOP: 10:20 – 12:00 PM _“Kylie is one of my favorite presenters and facilitators…I saw her present this topic at the American Evaluation Association conference last year and it was a standing room only in a huge ballroom. Since that session, I’ve used my notes many times and have started to change how I do my work.” _ __Kari Greene, MPH, Senior Evaluator, The InQuire Group;  Past President, Oregon Program Evaluators Network BIO Kylie Hutchinson is an independent evaluator and trainer with Community Solutions Planning and Evaluation [https://communitysolutions.ca/web/].
