ABOUT ANISHA:
Anisha Kurukulasuriya [https://www.instagram.com/anishakula] is a
Bollywood dancer in the South Asian community primarily working in
North America. She fell in love with the world of Bollywood after
joining the University of Southern Californias Hindi Film Dance Team,
Zeher.
During her time on Zeher, she performed as the lead for 3 years and
won multiple awards for Best Female Performer including Miss Bollywood
America in 2013 and 2014. After graduating from USC, she toured with
professional Bollywood dance troupes, Mystic India (Aatma Performing
Arts) in Canada and North America, Joya Kazi Unlimited in various
cities throughout California, as well as freelance work primarily in
Los Angeles.
In the summer of 2015, she was hired as a key dancer in YouTube
sensation Lilly Singh's World Tour: A Trip To Unicorn Island. She
traveled alongside many world-renowned dancers performing in countries
such as India, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Trinidad & Tobago,
Dubai, Canada, and North America and was invited to perform at the
YouTube FanFest Australia, an event featuring the biggest YouTube
stars from around the world on one stage.
She continued her dance journey to the pro dance world of NBA and NFL
and danced as a professional dancer for the San Francisco 49ers and
the Golden State Warriors Dance Team. She is currently continuing her
education at USC completing her Graduate Orthodontics residency while
teaching Bollyfusion classes in Los Angeles.
Anisha is very excited to teach TWO dance workshops in Seattle on May
1st and 2nd 2021, hosted by Rangeela Dance Company!
