To celebrate GLOBAL ACCESSIBILITY AWARENESS DAY 2018 (http://globalaccessibilityawarenessday.org/ [http://globalaccessibilityawarenessday.org/]), we're coming together as a community to share ideas and get inspired. Come learn about web ACCESSIBILITY PERSPECTIVES AND TECHNIQUES FROM OTHER MEETUP MEMBERS AND MAKE NEW FRIENDS.We're so excited to see everyone! If your schedule changes closer to the event and you can't attend, please update your RSVP to allow people to join from the wait list. That will also help the food and drink situation! Talks from: - Sarah Higley, Using the Google Maps API to display accessible data - Richard Ladner, Accessible K-12 Computer Science Education - Jonathan Pool, Geezerproofing the Web - Bob Cavanaugh, Real World Examples of Accessible and Inaccessible Products Event location: EXPEDIA 645 Elliott Ave W · Seattle, WA Date & Time: 6-8:30pm Thursday, May 17 Food and drinks: We'll have food courtesy of Sitepen; including a few vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. There will also be non-alcoholic drinks available at the event as well as alcoholic beverages for those over 21+ years of age with ID, thanks to Expedia! Accommodations: We will have live transcription available at the event, thanks to Deque Systems.
