with KT Neely Sleepspent’s debut EP, ‘It’s Better If You Don’t Speak Or Think,’was released on May 4th, 2018. The band released two singles from the record, ‘Something’ and ‘Come Smile With Me’ Sleepspent, from El Paso, TX, is a band that manages to deliver an intimate and simultaneously lively presence, creating emotional imagery through both their lyrics and their melodic and atmospheric sound. Austin’s voice, atop his reverb-drenched guitar riffs, often soars through bold melodies that reveal the band’s indie rock and synth-heavy influences. Lead singer and guitarist, Austin North, began writing to then recruit Josh Mendoza on drums soon after.
