Join the makers of The Legend of the Vagabond Queen of Lagos –– a narrative feature-film that aims to end forced evictions in Nigeria –– to learn about the project and how you can get involved.

Supported by the Sundance Institute and the World Cinema Fund, the film tells the story of Jawu –– a young mother from a waterfront slum who stumbles upon a horde of corrupt blood-money earmarked for a luxury condo development to be built where her community stands, and a journey in which she must overcome isolation, temptation, and loss to be a unifying force in a community that stands to lose everything.
