important. Providing proper CPR can drastically increases a cardiac
arrest victims chances of survival. The ASHI CPR, AED and Basic First
Aid training program is intended for individuals who are not
healthcare providers or professional rescuers but desire or are
required to be certified in CPR, the use of an AED, and first aid.
There are no class prerequisites. This course includes the Adult,
Child and Infant training program. It provides a broad training for
most applications. The goal of this training program is to help
students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to respond in a
medical emergency. Founded in basic principles of instructional design
and learning theory, ASHI promotes a “toolbox” approach to
learning. This approach gives instructors flexibility in both
presentation strategies and material in order to reach students with
widely varying ability in the countless instructional settings that
exist in the real world. CRP, AED and Basic First Aid is designed to
include a significand amount of hands-on skill practice.
