Welcoming both beginning and returning fencing students, this class is
taught by Evergreen’s own Shaye Whitmer. Students learn modern
fencing focusing with foil. Students will be actively learning the
footwork, hand work and blade work in a safe environment. This class
will help improve coordination and reflexes. Fencing introduces an
element of strategy and athleticism that will aid the student in a
holistic view of health. Students should be prepared for vigorous
activity. Appropriate athletic clothing should be worn.
