Have you ever wondered how Homeward gets the data that supports its
work? You can be a part of that effort on January 23rd by
VOLUNTEERING AT OUR WINTER 2020 Point-in-Time
[http://homewardva.org/data/point-in-time-count] (PIT) count. The PIT
count is a regional census of people that are experiencing
homelessness. Volunteers will be able to connect with their neighbors
experiencing homelessness, hear their story and take an active role in
changing the narrative of homelessness in Virginia.
We are looking to fill volunteer positions for both our service fair
at Centenary United Methodist church and the community dinner at
First Baptist Church. At both opportunities, volunteers will connect
with and offer a survey to the guests. Be sure to read the shift
description when registering. Time and location varies per shift.
Training will be provided electronically in advance.
_WE ASK THAT VOLUNTEERS BRING A SMART PHONE WITH A DATA PLAN TO ALLOW
US to conduct the survey electronically. All volunteers must be 18+.
