Inland Empire Blues Society's Sweetheart of the Blues- Julie Duke

THE AWARD WINNING, "BEST BLUES EVENT"................................SWEETHEARTS OF THE BLUES.................. This year’s Sweethearts of the Blues are SURE to delight all. Headliner Julie Duke is one bundle of amazing talent, recently reforming a new band DAMN (Duke And Mojo Nation),they are rapidly becoming a favorite on the Wet West-side. Duke and Mojo Nation take the stage from 8:30-11:30 pm. DAMN features the vocals of front-lady Julie Duke whose influences include Etta James, Koko Taylor, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. Backing Julie are Steve Cutting, Denny Penrose, Thomas Sandstrom and Dan O’Bryant. These boys hold down a smoldering groove behind Julie’s sultry, bluesy voice and passionately energetic stage presence. The Meghan Sullivan Band will be debuting that evening and will take to the stage from 6:45-8:00 pm. Meghan Sullivan,( our local Sweetheart),- will provide lead vocals & rhythm guitar; with band members; Howard Davis, Robert McClure, Tom Norton, & Mark Lee Stephens providing a solid back up. Meghan will be kicking it up a notch, singing a variety of soulful blues covers as well as some of her original tunes. Both these talented Young Ladies and their bands, are sure to have you out movin' and grovin', from beginning to end!! Don't worry ladies about that Valentine Candy you ate, you will be sure to boogie off any extra calories at the "Sweethearts of the Blues"!! Annie Fannie’s has a great dinner menu and be including their famous steak and bake for our choices! Great service, food, drink, talent, and music, Wow, must be Heaven!
