RESTORE & Rejuvenate yourself each week with this nurturing 60 minute
Yin Yoga & REIKI CLASS. During this nurturing 60 minute class, we will
take time to slow down and release tension we might be holding onto. I
will lead you through a sequence of restorative Yin postures that you
may melt & surrender into using any props you need. While holding the
postures, I will be going around the room to offer Reiki to anyone who
would like.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a deeply restorative style of yoga where we will hold
passive (propped) postures for 3-5 minutes. As opposed to most yoga
styles, Yin focuses on deepening into our fascia, ligaments and
tissues in order to release tension & strengthen these areas that
often get neglected. On a mental, emotional & energetic level, many
people find Yin to be an extremely meditative form of yoga, with its
slow pace combined with the inward focus. Yin Yoga is an excellent
practice to bring into our lives, where we often neglect to take time
to slow down, feel what's really going on within ourselves and nurture
our own being.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese style of energetic healing, or alignment which is
based on the traditional chakra system. During a reiki session, the
practitioner channels pure universal life energy to the client. The
practitioner also may receive visuals, messages or other information
that can be helpful for the client's further healing, energetic
alignment and general well-being.
And together....
Combining Yin Yoga & Reiki can bring a huge sense of restoration &
rejuvenation! Some people find they leave feeling like they just had
an incredible massage. Others find the quiet it brings, allows their
inner creative juices to flow more freely. And yet others find it can
allow great catharsis and reprieve during emotionally turbulent times.
